Ticket FAQ

At the Austin Symphony Orchestra, we strive to make your ticketing process as easy as possible. This section provides a variety of helpful information to answer any questions you may have regarding items such as digital ticketing, exchanges, our new refund protection option, discounts, policies and more. Exchanges for single tickets may be made up to 48 hours prior to a performance for a different date or a different production within the current season.  A fee of $4 per ticket will be applied. Any increase in ticket price must be paid at the time of the rebooking, credit will not be provided for less expensive tickets. Tickets may be returned for credit on account to be used later. The credit will be the value of the ticket minus the $4 exchange fee. All credits must be used for the current season. 

Exchanges for subscribers will not incur a fee. Exchanges and donation requests for subscribers must be made to the Box Office before 4:00 pm on the performance day. Requests made after this deadline may not receive credit for the value of the tickets.

The Austin Symphony Orchestra DOES NOT OFFER REFUNDS on any ticket purchases. Ticket refund protection may be added to your order at the time of purchase. Refer to ticket refund protection information below. 

We are pleased to offer ticket refund protection services, provided by Secure My Booking. Ticket protection can only be purchased during the checkout process. Ticket refund protection allows you to recover 100% of the paid ticket price (including all order fees) in the event of: 

  • Accident, injury, or illness including COVID-19
  • Severe weather preventing travel to the venue
  • Travel delays due to breakdown or public transit failures
  • Other covered incidents as dictated in their Terms and Conditions 

Booking refund protection is an optional service offered by The Austin Symphony Orchestra and administered by Secure My Booking. All questions and claims requests should be directed through Secure My Booking. Refund requests should be submitted within sixty (60) days of the Event. It is not an insurance policy. Failure to provide appropriate documentary verification may mean that your application is inadmissible.

Groups of 10-39 = 15% discount
Groups of 40+ = 25% discount

One complimentary ticket for groups of 20 or more. 

NOTE: Some concerts may be excluded from discounts. Contact the ASO Box Office for details.

The Austin Symphony Orchestra offers a 10% discount for all active and retired military through our "Soldiers At the Symphony" program as well as seniors (65+). Discounts are only available in-person or by calling the box office. 

The Austin Symphony Orchestra also partners with the Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix), a national 501c3 nonprofit founded by veterans dedicated to support and honor the U.S. military community, veterans, and their families. The Vet Tix mission is to provide tickets to sporting events, concerts, performing arts and family activities aimed at improving mental welfare and enriching the lives of military service members and veterans. To become a Vet Tix member, just complete the signup form. Once an account is created and verified, you can review and apply for tickets to hundreds of upcoming events across the country. Please direct all questions regarding this program to Vet Tix.

Digital ticketing is a convenient, secure service that delivers your tickets to your mobile device using QR codes. Your QR codes will activate 3 hours prior to the performance start time and will refresh every 30 seconds. 

Digital tickets provide you with an easy and safe way to receive and share your tickets with friends and family. No more stress over printer issues or misplaced tickets. Your tickets are always available in your digital wallet.  

No App required!

It’s easy! 

  1. Go to wallet.austinsymphony.org
  2. Enter the email address and password you use when purchasing tickets on the ASO website.
  3. Select “Stay Logged In” to stay logged in for 30 days. 
  4. Once logged into your wallet, you can tap your event(s) to see all the details of your ticket(s).  

You can also request an access code be sent to your email. If you forgot your password, click the Forgot Password button to reset your password. 

You can now add your digital tickets to your Apple Wallet. Google Wallet does not yet support dynamic QR codes.

No. To keep your tickets safe and secure, printouts and screenshots are not accepted and cannot be scanned at the door.  Once activated, the QR code on your digital ticket(s) updates every 30 seconds and can only be scanned directly from your mobile device.

As a safety measure, the QR codes will not be visible on your tickets until 3 hours before the performance start time. Your QR code for your digital tickets will automatically appear in your digital wallet at that time.   

Once you see the Share Tickets button in your wallet, you may share them, even if the QR codes have not yet been activated.

No problem! While digital tickets require a mobile device to access your tickets, if you don’t have a mobile device, you can contact our Box Office to arrange pick-up of your printed tickets at “Will Call”.  

If your phone dies stop by the box office venue for a ticket reprint. You will need to show a valid ID that matches the name on the tickets.

Once logged into your wallet: 

  1. Select the performance.
  2. TapShare Tickets.
  3. Enter the full name of the person with whom you are sharing the digital ticket(s).
  4. Select the ticket(s) you’d like to share.
  5. Confirm your selection.
  6. Share* the link via text or email to the person to whom you are sending the digital ticket(s). 

To accept the tickets,your guest must log in or create an account if they don’t already have one. Shared digital tickets are not valid until the recipient claims them. You may also reclaim your ticket(s) if your guest changes their mind or does not accept them. 

Once you see the Share Tickets button in your wallet, you may share them, even if the QR codes have not yet been activated. 

Once you share a digital ticket, you will see one of the two following status notifications:

  • Ticket Accepted by (Your Guest’s Name)
    • Your guest has claimed your shared ticket(s). 
  • Ticket Shared with (Your Guest’s Name) Pending
    • Your guest has not accepted the digital ticket(s) yet.
      • You may want to remind them to check their email or text messages for the ticket invite link you sent to them.
      • You may also “Share the invite again” or “Get this ticket back”.   

 *You do not need to share your tickets with yourself. Your tickets are accessible to you on any device, but you must be logged in on your mobile device to display your tickets at the venue.

Everyone entering the theater is required to have a ticket.  For children under 3, we provide Lap Tickets free of charge. A lap ticket may be picked up at the venue box office 90 minutes before the performance starts. Lap tickets are not available or recommended for all our performances. Please check with the Box Office prior to attending a performance with children. Booster seats are available at the Long Center.

Please be courteous to other guests and step outside the theater into the lobby if your child is crying or being disruptive.

Our team is here to help you with all your Austin Symphony Orchestra ticketing needs.  We can assist you with subscriptions, single ticket purchases, or answer any other questions you may have.    

 Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST (except major holidays)
Friday (concert nights only) 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday (concert nights only) 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. 

On concert days, our team will be available in person at the performance venue 90 minutes* before the performance begins. We are not available by phone or email during this time.  

*ASO ABOUT TOWN performances we will be available on-site 60 minutes before the performance begins.

All sales are final, no refunds.  This ticket is a revocable license subject to all terms, conditions and policies established by the Austin Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and this license may be revoked without refund for noncompliance with terms.  Any conduct deemed by ASO, in its sole and absolute discretion, to be disorderly, deceptive, or disruptive shall be cause for automatic termination of Ticket Holder’s (herein referred to as “Holder”) license.  No individual or entity is authorized to sell, or re-sell tickets, purchased at any price without the prior express consent of ASO. Tickets sold or obtained from unauthorized sources, such as third-party sites, may be stolen, fraudulent, or counterfeit, and if so, are void.  ASO reserves the right to suspend orders or sharing capabilities for any tickets suspected to be in violation of these terms and will hold those tickets for “Will Call” pick-up at the venue box office. “Will Call” tickets may be picked up at the venue box office after the purchaser presents a photo ID and valid credit card. 

Exchanges for single ticket purchases may be made up to 48 hours prior to a performance for a different performance date or a different production within the current season.  A fee of $4 per ticket will be applied to ticket exchanges. Requests made within 48 hours will be at the discretion of the Box Office. Exchanges for subscribers will not incur a fee. For subscribers, exchanges and donation requests must be made to the box office before 4:00 on the performance day. 

Every guest entering the performance venue requires a ticket. For each child under three, a lap ticket is required for entry and may be picked up, for free, at the venue box office starting 90 minutes before the performance starts. Depending on the performance lap tickets may not be available. Please check with the Box Office prior to attending a performance with children.  

Unauthorized use of cameras or recording equipment of any kind is prohibited during all performances. Holder agrees not to photograph or record performances in any form.  Holder grants permission to ASO to use Holder’s image or likeness in connection with ASO’s recording, transmission or reproduction of the ticketed event.  Prices, performances, programming, dates, and times are subject to change, at any time, without notice.
