Jessica Alberthal

Jessica Alberthal joined the Austin Symphony in 2016 as Assistant Librarian. Her previous music library experience was with San Antonio Symphony, San Antonio Opera, Peabody Conservatory, and Brevard Music Center. Prior to joining ASO, Ms. Alberthal was a freelance orchestra musician for over 10 years in Ohio and Texas. She received her Bachelor and Master of Music in viola performance from Peabody Conservatory and Cleveland Institute of Music, respectively, and studied with Victoria Chiang, Jeffrey Irvine, and Lynne Ramsey.

When not in the ASO library, you will likely find Ms. Alberthal at Austin Animal Center where she’s been a cat volunteer since 2016. As a fear-free certified cat behavior assistant, she focuses on socializing spicy kittens and helping shy cats build confidence in a positive way, mainly via clicker training. She has also been assisting an in-home feline veterinary technician since 2020.
