Connecting with Music

A string quartet of ASO musicians performs for students at Gus Garcia Young Men’s Leadership Academy, Feb. 2025.

ASO’s innovative Connecting with Music initiative transitions through the 2025-2026 season to a program providing in-school chamber music performances for middle school students presented by ASO Musician Teaching Artists and supported by additional classroom interaction and mentoring.  In commemoration and celebration of the coming 250th anniversary of the signing of our nation’s Declaration of Independence (America250), the theme of our 2025-2026 Connecting with Music school performances is “American Identity” and will feature all American composers.

ASO Connecting with Music is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. To find out more about how National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities, visit www.arts.gov.  Additional support has been provided by The James C.
