Megan Zapfe

Originally from Cleveland, Megan Zapfe began playing the violin at age 4. She received her Bachelor’s degree in violin performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where she studied with Grigory Kalinovksy and Kevork Mardirossian. Prior to college, Megan studied with Peter Slowik and Marilyn McDonald at the Oberlin Conservatory.

Megan teaches in the Round Rock School District as well as regularly performs with the Austin Lyric Opera.

When not playing the violin, Megan enjoys exploring the city, yoga, and living vicariously through all the dog owners she comes across at patio bars.
