Chloe Yofan

Chloe Yofan, Assistant Concertmaster

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Chloe Yofan is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in Violin Performance at the University of Texas at Austin under Sandy Yamamoto. Chloe also received her Master’s degree from UT while serving as the Teaching Assistant to Yamamoto. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the Eastman School of Music under Oleh Krysa. She also earned a Certificate of Achievement in Chamber Music from Eastman and was awarded the Peter Salaff Award for Excellence in Chamber Music.

Chloe Yofan is a member of the Soha Quartet, first place winners of the 2025 MTNA Chamber Music competition and semi-finalists in the 2025 Plowman Chamber Competition. The quartet serves as Butler School of Music community representatives for the Austin Chamber Music Center, performing around Austin and working with young musicians. Chloe has also collaborated with musicians such as Sandy Yamamoto, Daniel Ching, Bion Tsang, Jennifer Frautschi, Rebecca Young, and Emmanuel Feldman. As a soloist, Chloe has performed with the Balcones Community Orchestra.

Chloe Yofan began her role as the Assistant Concertmaster of the Austin Symphony Orchestra in 2025 after having played one season in the second violin section. Since moving to Texas in 2023, Chloe has also performed with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the San Antonio Philharmonic as a substitute violinist. In the summers, Chloe has performed as a fellow at the Sarasota Music Festival and the Aspen Music Festival and School. She has also attended the Green Mountain Chamber Music Institute and the Encore Chamber Music Institute.
