Now in its second year, the ASO Paint to Music Contest is a cross-curricular extension to our ASO Young People’s Concerts program. The Contest invites students of attending school groups to conduct deep listening and create a work of visual art inspired by one of the concert music selections. The finished artwork is then submitted to ASO for judging. About 150 winners are selected, including for several Top Prizes! The winning artwork is then projected above the orchestra at the culminating concerts during a performance of the same pieces that inspired them.

NOTE: Students must be enrolled to attend an ASO 2026-2027 Young People’s Concert performance in order to participate.
