What Austin tradition is creepy and crawly, yet not too spooky for the little ones (and still exciting and enlightening for the whole family)? It’s fun-filled and educational, with classical music that will leave you shakin’ in your boots: The Austin Symphony presents it annual Halloween Children’s Concert, sponsored by Bank of America, MFI Foundation and the Mitte Foundation. Performances will be held on Sunday, October 30th at 1:30 and 3:00 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre located at 713 Congress Avenue. This concert is a wonderful chance for you to introduce your children to the wonders of live orchestral music and also a great opportunity to wear costumes and have tons of fun.

The concert will feature Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and Halloween favorites that will delight young audiences. Children will also be introduced to various instruments in the orchestra and learn about the music being performed. With surprising special effects and classical favorites, families will never want to leave! Although the program is designed mainly for families with children between the ages of 3 and 10, the atmosphere will spark excitement and imagination in listeners of all ages when stepping through the front door.

Tickets for the Halloween Children’s Concert are $8 for children and $12 for adults.
