"The world of classical music was forever changed by the symphonies of Beethoven. As the Austin Symphony Orchestra concludes its survey of them from the transitional Fourth to the valedictory Ninth, so do we conclude our journey from the beautiful Riverbend Centre to our new home, the Long Center for the Performing Arts. Surrounding these pivotal works are evenings devoted to music from Russia, France, and Spain, highlighted with works by Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Rodrigo, and Richard Strauss. A full array of orchestral colors from the greatest composers will be on display.
